The Doctor of Ministry program at Birmingham Theological Seminary is a professional post-graduate degree offering an advanced program focusing on unique research in ministry fields. Classes are held online with weekly or bi-weekly meetings via video conference in cohort-based classes that encourage discussion and dialogue from readings, ministry experience, and are led by academically qualified field experts. Students work in these classes to engage in a program of graduated topics in their chosen track in preparation for and contributing to a dissertation project that addresses real-world ministry challenges. Students will be challenged to grow in their understanding of the bible, develop engagement with both the professional and the academic communities in their chosen field of study, and grow in their application of the historic reformed tradition of theology to ministry arenas.
