Biblical Theology
Department Overview
The Biblical Theology program at BTS equips students with the tools to grasp the profound elegance of God's divine revelation, spanning from the Garden of Eden to New Jerusalem.
Biblical Theology underscores the Christocentric essence of God's progressive revelation as He unfolds His redemptive plan in Scripture. We delve into the contours of Scripture, seeing Christ as the perfect prophet, priest and king.
As the very incarnation of God, Christ as the new Adam comes to set right all the first Adam set wrong. Consequently, our students gain the confidence and competence to lead others into a whole-Bible, Biblical Theology in an earnest pursuit of glorifying God for His immeasurable grace and redemptive work in our lives. In addition, students gain a desire to look deeply into each individual biblical text, discerning context and interpreting and applying the text with the wisdom of the whole counsel of the Word of God.
